Welkom op de website van vzw, Gitaar, maar waar?.  U vindt hier een gitaarkalender voor België en Nederland, een blog met onze activiteiten ten voordele van jong gitaartalent én een overzicht van gitaarbouwers uit BE en NL. Iedereen kan gratis een bouwer aan de lijst of een evenement aan de kalender toevoegen.

Showcase Concert: Tuur Segers and Andrea Roberto @ Matty Niel Zaal, Conservatorium Maastricht | Amsterdam | Noord-Holland | Nederland

Tuur Segers (BE) and Andrea Roberto (IT) are two of the most talented young guitarists in Europe.
Andrea Roberto, began studying guitar at age 4. At 9 years old, he was admitted to the U. Giordano Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of guitarist Sandro Torlontano, and graduated with honors at the age of 14 with his bachelor’s degree. He continued his studies with Aniello Desiderio at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy in Germany. He has received a variety of international awards including the David Russell Prize for young talented musicians at the Conservatory of Vigo (Spain), the Parkening Young Guitarist Competition at Pepperdine, and the Joven Promesa Prize at the VIII José Tomás—Villa de Petrer (Spain) International Guitar Competition. In 2010 he won the Valter Cococcia Prize, which goes to the youngest Italian conservatory student graduating with honors. In addition to this he has won prizes in numerous other competitions including the International Competition of the Adriatic in Pescara, the Fernando Sor International Competition in Rome, the International Competition of Mottola and the Stefano Strata International Competition of Pisa.

Tuur Segers developed an interest for the guitar at a young age recieven his first lessons from his father. He has performed, amongst other places, in the Koninklijke Muntschouwburg, in ‘Bozar’ Brussel, the Basilica Festival of Vlaanderen in Tongeren, the guitar festival in Petrer (Spain) and the Wereldomroep in Hilversum. Additionally, Tuur was selected to play in the “fiësta de la guitarra” in Tallinn and Parnu in Estonia. Aditionaly he played with the ‘Rubens strijkkwartet’ in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, de Doelen in Rotterdam, the Philipszaal in Eindhoven and in Janine Jansen’s chamber music festival in Utrecht.
Tuur has won numerous prizes in competitions including: the ‘Dexia Classics’ in Brussels, the Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists, the Anna Amalia International Guitar Competition for Young Guitarists, the Prinses Christina Concours, International Guitar Competition Brno, the Forum Gitarre Wien and the José Tomas International Guitar Competition in Petrer.

Tuur and Andrea are currently studying in Maastricht with Carlo Marchione.

“Er zit MUZIEK in SINT-KWINTEN-2016” (21ste editie) gitaarrecitals - Thema: "Fuga op de vlucht. Flarden van toen en nu..." @ Sint-Kwintenskerk Leuven | Leuven | Vlaanderen | België

Dit jaar werd er voor het thema “Fuga op de vlucht. Flarden van nu en toen…” gekozen. Een thema dat trouwens zeer actueel is.

De vier verschillende en zeer verscheiden gitaarrecitals worden dit jaar rond het thema “vluchten” in al zijn vormen opgebouwd. Het wordt een mix van oude (fuga, e.a.) en hedendaagse muziek (volksmuziek, klassiek).
Vandaar dat elk programma werd samengesteld uit een “fuga” (muziekvorm), muziek ontstaan uit repressie met al dan niet het wegvluchten van de componisten uit het eigen land en muziek om de hectische realiteit te “ont-vluchten” en weg te dromen in tijdloze muziek.
Elke vorm van vluchten brengt echter een onvoorspelbare uitkomst waardoor het “toen” en het “nu” zich als flarden van herinneringen vermengen.

De toegangsprijs wordt bewust gratis gehouden omdat iedereen (zonder enig onderscheid) welkom is.

Deze editie kwam, zoals voorgaande jaren, tot stand in samenwerking met de parochie Sint-Kwinten en de gids Lambert Juveyns. Na elk recital geeft hij een interessante rondleiding, opgebouwd rond een bepaald thema.

2) op 24/07 om 14u30: “Een Laatste Avondmaal” (thema rondleiding)
3) op 7/08 om 14u30: “van ’t Sestich in de Kwintenskerk” (thema rondleiding)
4) op 21/08 om 14u30: “Rituelen rond St-Quintinus” (thema rondleiding)
